Hanna and Mitch Waite opened Maison des Arts Painting Holidays in La Colle sur Loup, near Nice in the South of France in August 2000. Here they spent ten years running all inclusive luxury painting courses from an old stone village house with eight bedrooms, a professional kitchen and an art gallery. In 2010 they relocated the business nearer to where they were living in Saint Jeannet where they stayed for a further three years until they decided to expand the business with an art gallery in Vence and consequently decided to run the courses from a Hotel nearby called Hotel Miramar. In December 2012 Mitch Waite was diagnosed with brain cancer and died a year later in November 2013. Hanna decided to move back to her home town in Sweden with their two boys, Anthony and Elton. She continues to run occassional painting courses in France and is hoping expand the courses to other locations around the world in the future. Hanna also runs painting classes in her studio at home in the Swedish countryside outside Uppsala.
