Expert professional tuition

Mitch Waite had over 25 years professional experience including 13 years running these courses with his wife Hanna Waite. Since starting their first art school together Hanna has been learning from Mitch’s unique teaching style and is now following in his footsteps.

Art Materials

We provide all the materials you will need for the course – oils, acrylics, watercolours and charcoal. Easels, brushes, palettes, panels, paper, canvas, turpentine etc are also all provided.

Non-Participants

Non-painting partners are welcome, you can join us on the excursions and for lunches and dinners if you wish, or simply do your own thing. Vence is centrally located with easy bus routes to the coast and other villages.

Beautiful Accommodation

Delicious  French Food

Enjoy freshly baked croissants for your breakfast relaxing on the sunny terrace overlooking the stunning panoramic view.

Lunch is either a delicious buffet on the terrace if we are nearby, or if we are out on an excursion we sample the local cuisine at a nearby restaurant.

Each evening we walk just a few minutes into the old town and enjoy the rich choice of Provencale cuisine and local wines at various restaurants.

Transport to and from Nice airport

As soon as you’ve arrived within our reach we come and meet you and transport you to the hotel. Likewise after the course we return you back to the airport. This service is restricted to the first day of the course only.
